LUMINEX returns to Downtown LA for it’s second year. This pop up showcased a series of established and emerging digital artists during the LuminexLA Art Walk which projected video art and hosted installations at various parking lots nearby.

Through this show “Frame of Mind, State of Time, Life Online” we reflect on the value art and culture has in our world and celebrate it’s ability to bring us together, make us feel safe or anxious, force us to think deeper and to question. The concept “Frame of Mind, State of Time, Life Online” alludes to the craft and artistry behind many of the animators shown in the show. As a sculptor takes what they know from the world and through their hands directs tools to carve time into a story, a vision and message, so too do all of the artists showcasing whether through photography, illustration, 3D animation, code, or film. Each piece needed inspiration, time and is woven into the fabric identity of each artist.
